Consultancy appoints science sector market lead

Rebecca Mortimore / Ramboll [square]Engineering, design and environmental consultant Ramboll has announced the appointment of architect Rebecca Mortimore as UK science sector market lead.

She has led science teams at Hassell Studio and NBBJ and sits on the NLA Expert Panel for Science, Technology and Innovation.

Mortimore specialises in the design of science facilities and has more than twenty-five years of experience in delivering complex science and translational research buildings. Her projects include the Henry Royce Institute for Advanced Materials at the University of Manchester and the BBSRC National Vaccinology Centre at The Pirbright Institute in Woking.

Mortimore is also a part-time visiting lecturer at the University of Westminster, a RIBA professional examiner and mentor, a co-chair of the London Borough of Richmond and Wandsworth design review panel, and sits on the NLA expert panel for science, technology and innovation.

At Ramboll, Mortimore will include leading multi-disciplinary growth across the science sector and enhancing Ramboll’s engineering services and science consultancy offering.
