David Bell departs JLL to set up a new Scotland consultancy

David Bell - JLL  [square]Scottish planning consultant David Bell has stepped down as director and head of planning at JLL after 18 years with the firm.

Bell has set up a renewable energy-planning consultancy in Scotland, David Bell Planning Ltd.

From June he will start working with Airvolution Clean Energy, an independent onshore wind developer who work in partnership with Statkraft, Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy. 

David Bell Planning will provide exclusive consultancy services in locations where Airvolution and Statkraft currently operate or propose projects, playing a key role in the delivery of 300MW of onshore wind in Scotland.

Bell will provide planning support for Airvolution’s pipeline of onshore wind projects across Scotland, and brings significant industry knowledge to their onshore wind development programme.

Bell said: With planning reforms on the horizon and a growing cumulative development picture for onshore wind in Scotland, it is essential to have robust planning advice and I very much look forward to playing that role with Airvolution and Statkraft”.
