Edinburgh Council appoints mobility and placemaking manager

Daisy [square]Daisy Narayanan, has been appointed as the mobility and placemaking senior manager at the City of Edinburgh Council.

Narayanan is currently director of urbanism for Sustrans and will bring with her experience in policy and public realm design, gained through work as an architect and urban designer in India, Singapore, England and Scotland.

In her role she will focus on several strategies for the sustainable development of the city, including the City Mobility Plan, which was approved by the council's transport and environment committee in January, and the 20-minute neighbourhood programme.
