Enfield Council appoints new executive director

Sarah Cary has been appointed as Enfield Council's executive director of regeneration and environmental services. 
 
Cary will lead the council’s commercial regeneration programmes, including estates renewal. She will oversee the strategic development and delivery of major frontline services. 
 
Cary said: “I understand the strategic and high-profile nature of this role and I am motivated by the scale of transformation underway to make Enfield a better place to live and work in, delivering fairness for all, growth and sustainability and strong communities.”

The position became available when the department’s previous executive director, Ian Davis, was appointed as the council’s chief executive. The new appointment is expected to begin in spring 2018.
