Engineering business launched by Phil Jones Associates

PJA Engineering / Press release [square]Phil Jones Associates (PJA), an independent Birmingham-based transport planning consultancy, has launched PJA Engineering, which aims to offer a full-service approach to land development engineering design and delivery.

PJA Engineering will deliver core land development services – infrastructure design, geo-environmental and geotechnical engineering, together with water resources and flood risk assessments – to residential and commercial development projects nationwide.

PJA has appointed sector specialists Mike Poland, Chris Johnson and Becky Lowe to lead the new sectors. Dan McCrudden and Jenny Mullen have also been appointed as technical leads.

Nine engineers have been recruited as part of the launch of PJA Engineering. The team is actively recruiting more engineers to join the growing business.

PJA founder and managing director Phil Jones said: "PJA Engineering is the realisation of our aspiration to offer a broader engineering service, following countless requests we have received from our clients to take their sites through detailed design and delivery."

PJA and PJA Engineering will be based in PJA’s grade A office at Seven House in Longbridge, Birmingham, along with the company’s specialist traffic modelling subsidiary, Multimodal.

With the launch of the new business, 40 members of staff will be working in the Birmingham office by May, under a phased recruitment process.

PJA was established in 2003 and has grown out of the West Midlands to become a 50-strong business, with offices in Birmingham, Reading, London, Bristol and Exeter.
