Enso Energy hires head of planning

Renewable energy developer Enso Energy has appointed Simon Chamberlayne as head of planning and Kirsty Lodge as principal planner.

Spencer Thompson has also been appointed as director of connections.

Chamberlayne, who joins the development team, has more than 15 years of planning and EIA experience in both the UK and overseas. Prior to joining Enso Energy, he was a director at a national planning and development consultancy where he advised on over 1GW of renewable energy development.

Lodge joins from a planning consultancy specialising in renewable energy development, and has seven years of experience.

Chamberlayne said: “I am delighted to be joining Enso Energy at this exciting time and look forward to realising Enso’s substantial development pipeline of solar and battery storage developments across the UK”.

Lodge commented: “It is such a transformational time for the energy sector, and to be part of the Enso team in delivering projects to facilitate the UK’s transition to renewable energy is incredibly exciting.”
