Professional services company GHD has appointed David Hurren as director within its urban design and transport planning division.

Hurren will be responsible for continuing to grow the division, winning new contracts and developing further relationships with developers, public bodies and other stakeholders.

He joins GHD from Robert West, where he was director of transport planning and infrastructure from 2018, and has also held roles at BWB Consulting, Peter Brett Associates/DHM and Transport for London (TfL).

Senthuran Sritharan, GHD’s head of urban design and transport planning UK, said: “As travel habits undergo a seismic shift, coupled with the ongoing push towards net zero, the transport sector needs to respond quickly. GHD is playing an active role in transforming Britain’s urban landscape for the better, and I am very pleased to welcome David to the team as we continue to hire the best talent and bolster our urban design and transport planning offering.”
