Harlow & Gilston Garden Town has appointed Naisha Polaine as its new director.
Polaine will begin her new role on 12 April and replaces Claire Hamilton who was appointed CEO at Dacorum Borough Council last year.
She joins from the Department of International Trade, where she was a senior advisor.
Polaine will use her previous experience at Homes England to lead regeneration and affordable housing across the Essex and Kent regions to ensure that 16,000 houses are delivered in the garden town by 2033.
Polaine said: “I see Harlow as a forward-thinking place, it's got such an amazing history and was a pioneer in its time.
“My aim is to ensure that it will be a pioneer again through the Harlow & Gilston Garden Town project.”
