Kevin Farrow / GL Hearn [square]Retail consultancy GL Hearn has appointed Kevin Farrow as its new head of retail.

Farrow joins  from Cushman & Wakefield, where he was head of UK retail occupier agency.

Before that, he spent 12 years with CBRE as a senior director.

Farrow commented: “GL Hearn offer a uniquely integrated retail advisory solution, combining their in-house planning and development agency expertise with specialists in the  management of property occupation costs. Retailers need us to be thinking about their business in this more holistic way and so I am excited to join and lead the team.”

He will focus on supporting the existing team who specialise in managing the cost of occupation for retail clients with a focus on food store, retail warehousing, high street, and shopping centre portfolios.

Bruce Wilson, managing director at GL Hearn, said: “Covid-19 has added pressure to the retail sector at a time when many of our retail clients are already grappling with changes in consumer demand and disruptive new technologies. Trends and behaviours are reshaping retail at an unprecedented pace, redefining the role of the physical store, leading traditional bricks and mortar retailers to consider the future of their store portfolios. Kevin’s appointment is a really positive opportunity for us to meet the complex and changing needs of our clients and continue to create better outcomes for them.”
