HLM announces various hires

HLM Architects has announced appointments and promotions to its business.

John Richards has been appointed head of masterplanning and urban design. Richards is an experienced development masterplanner, urban designer and architectural designer with a background in the delivery of masterplan projects. He has worked with HLM on projects for more than 15 years and joined the practice as an associate and masterplanning lead in June 2021.

Claire Wakelin has been appointed head of education while Philip Watson remains board education sponsor.

Anne Daw joins as head of MMC delivery, Melanie Jacobsen Cox joins as head of healthcare, Anna Kiho is appointed head of sector and Steven Lennon has been appointed head of justice and emergency services.

HLM has also promoted four new associates: Alex Pullin, Adam McAvoy, Noor Itrakjy, and Olivia Jackson.
