Jonathan Lieberman [square]Hopkins Homes has appointed Jonathan Lieberman as its new head of planning.

The role will see Lieberman oversee and manage the housebuilding company’s strategic land portfolio and manage applications through the planning systems working with various councils, stakeholders and local communities.

He will also be responsible for providing advice on planning strategy through all stages of the development process and carrying out community engagement for each development to ensure that the view of residents and those connected to the site are fully considered.

Lieberman said: “As has been well documented in the news, there continues to be a significant need for both market and affordable homes throughout England, including East Anglia.

“Our planning team will continue to engage positively with councils as they progress new local plans that will look to allocate new housing sites to help address the local housing requirements.

“We also believe that neighbourhood plans have a role to play in helping to meet housing requirements and we are keen to work with town and parish councils and neighbourhood plan groups where these plans are being prepared.”
