Aleksander [square]Hybrid Planning & Development has appointed two planners to its East London practice.

Aleksander Pantazis joins as an associate planner, bringing almost a decade of experience from both local authority and private sector roles.

Pantazis said: “A career in planning appealed as I’m part of the process of how buildings and cities evolve; I can walk past a scheme and know I helped create it.”

Nickolai Rutherford is appointed assistant planner, and he and Pantazis will report to associate director Aaron Henecke.

They will work on a mix of residential, co-living and mixed-use schemes across the London boroughs, the South East and Midlands.

Rutherford said: “I think for anyone considering a career in planning it’s important to understand the many disciplines and roles the industry has. My advice is to read as much as you can, secure work experience, and build and maintain a professional network.”
