Iceni hires futures director

Projects has appointed Alex Green as futures director.

Green joins from the British Property Federation (BPF) where he worked closely with central government departments to develop and implement regulatory reform associated with environmental sustainability, placemaking and the transition to net zero. In his four years there he led and oversaw the policy areas of sustainability, planning, construction, industrial and healthcare.   

Green was part of a team at the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) that produced and launched at COP26 a collaborative Whole Life Carbon Roadmap for the built environment, providing a blueprint for the real estate industry and its supply chain to decarbonise by 2050.

Green said, “Our lifestyles, the climate, technology, regulation, the environment and the economic landscape are constantly changing. Sometimes change happens to us, sometimes change happens because of us. Change can bring threats as well and opportunities, it can be both daunting and inspirational. Iceni Futures will enable our industry to understand, drive and capitalise on that change.”
