Infrastructure Matters launches new consents advisory service
Infrastructure Matters has launched its new consents advisory service. It will be led by former examining inspector for the Planning Inspectorate Frances Fernandes who joins on 1 November.
Infrastructure Matters said it will offer clients a full suite of strategic advisory solutions to deliver major infrastructure projects quicker and more cost effectively. The team will continue working closely with infrastructure owners and promoters to help anticipate and mitigate stakeholder, political and now consenting challenges to save time and money for vital infrastructure projects.
Fernandes is responsible for bringing the 2008 Planning Act into operation. He has spent the last decade leading panels of examining inspectors assessing and advising the UK Government on whether to grant development consent for UK infrastructure projects.
Fernandes said: “I’ll be using the unique perspective and experience I’ve gained from setting up and delivering the NSIP regime to work with clients so that they steer clear of the troubles and pitfalls encountered by others.”
