Land Trust announces promotion
Green space management charity The Land Trust has promoted Joe Heath to head of environment and biodiversity.
Heath has worked for the organisation for eight years, starting out on a work experience placement, before officially beginning his career as a graduate development officer in 2014.
He has primarily focused on endowment funded site acquisitions and will remain within the business development team. He will focus on generating sustainable income from new and existing sites across England.
He will also oversee the delivery of the organisation’s Biodiversity, Environment and Ecology (BEE) strategy, which aims to tackle climate change and ease pressures on vulnerable wildlife.
Heath said: “The development industry is currently facing a range of challenges. From demonstrating sustainability credentials to preparing for mandatory BNG regulations which are due to come into force later this year. I look forward to working with both new and existing clients across all sectors to deliver BNG solutions which not only do the job of protecting and enhancing the local environment and biodiversity – but which are also structured as commercially as possible.”
