NFU acquites PWA Planning

NFU Commercial Holdings, the commercial services branch of the National Farmers Union, has acquired PWA Planning Group, a planning consultancy based in the North West. 

This acquisition intends to open up growth opportunities for both entities.

Paul and Stella Walton, the founders of PWA Planning, remain as directors, with Paul Walton retaining his position as managing director. 

Established in Lancashire in 2013, PWA has expanded its services to include planning and land advisory for various sectors such as housing, commercial, industrial, sports, leisure and energy. 

With a team of 18 professionals, PWA undertakes projects across the UK. Additionally, in 2021, the company launched a specialist division, focusing on energy planning, specifically targeting renewable energy projects like battery energy storage schemes, solar and wind developments.
