Pegasus Group grows Leeds office

Pegasus group  [square]Planning consultancy Pegasus Group has made a promotion and appointment in its Leeds office.

Paul Bedwell has been appointed senior director. He joins from consultancy Spawforths where he had worked for almost 20 years.

Bedwell has gained specialist experience on major planning applications and appeals, and has acted as an expert planning witness at public inquiries, land tribunals and in the High Court, providing advocacy at numerous appeal hearings and examinations in public.

Nigel Cussen has been promoted to senior director. He joined Pegasus in 2012 having worked within planning consultancy since 1999. Prior to that, he was a planning policy officer in local government.

Cussen has worked for a diverse range of clients within development sectors including retail, residential, commercial, education, health and telecoms. His key experience includes the preparation of technical planning reports and provision of expert witness services.

Cussen said: “Linked to our expansion into the North East, the Leeds office continues to develop our role within the northern property market.

“We are active in a variety of projects and sectors, which creates great opportunities for our team to be involved alongside our clients to deliver those schemes. I am delighted to be part of this.”
