RenewableUK appoints wind director 

RenewableUK has appointed Jane Cooper as its new director of offshore wind. 

Cooper is currently director of regulatory and external affairs at Ørsted and will take up the position at RenewableUK in September.

She will lead a team delivering the industry’s sector deal and wider offshore wind industry council programme. Cooper will provide strategic oversight and advice to the OWIC Board, working across the industry to ensure that it can match the government's raised ambitions with action. 

Cooper said: “Offshore wind is at the heart of the energy transition as we look towards a cleaner, greener future. Delivering the offshore wind sector deal was a pivotal moment for the industry and I am really excited to be joining Dan and his fantastic team at RenewableUK to continue the work we in the industry started three years ago, as we step up to meet the new government ambition”.
