Richborough Estates Planning director 2 [square]Birmingham-based strategic land promoter Richborough Estates has appointed Russell Crow as planning director. Crow joins the firm from the Birmingham office of planning consultants Barton Willmore.

Richborough has also appointed Harry Jackson, formerly of Stoneleigh Homes, as a land study manager to identify and secure new development sites.

The firm says this growth has been spurred on partly in response to wider economic conditions and the lack of supply within the housing market.

Karl Parkinson-Witte, joint-managing director of Richborough Estates, said: “This is going to be a very exciting year for us and these appointments are just the beginning.

"At a time when house building is of the highest priority for local authorities and central government, we are responding by delivering ever more planning consents for residential schemes.”

The company has also promoted existing team member Hannah Watson to land and planning manager after her successful completion of a Masters in Urban Planning. Karl continued: “As we grow it is important that we are not just bringing in new talent from outside the business but also strengthening our existing team. Hannah’s promotion is part of this and we look forward to seeing her continue to grow in her new role.”
