Planning consultancy RPS has appointed Faraz Baber as its new operational director for its Midlands and South East planning teams.
In his new role Baber will be supporting the growth of the company and combining the existing regional planning teams to offer clients an "even greater collaborative proposition", which will drive opportunity for growth across the South East and Midlands.
Baber has served as an executive director for London First and as the world city programme director at the London Councils. In both roles he has worked closely with London borough leaders and the Mayor of London, together with the senior team at City Hall.
Baber said: “Given the origins of RPS as an environmentally-led planning consultancy, it’s arguably one of the only companies equipped with the knowledge and skills to help our clients respond to the challenge of climate change. So, I’m thrilled to be working with like-minded individuals to make a real difference in creating sustainable developments.”
