1. LEADERSHIP ROLES, ATKINS RÉALIS

Our planning team has recently been shortlisted for RTPI Planning Consultancy of the Year. Great ideas come from great people when they collaborate, and this is our core strength. Hence, we're looking to hire:
- Experienced town planners, from technical directors to senior planner level, to support the growth of our team across all UK regions and to assist us in delivering infrastructure and development projects for our clients.
- Experienced environmental consultants, from technical directors to senior consultant level, with practical experience of EIA, environmental coordination, assessment and team management to join and help lead our environmental management team.
- Experienced social value and stakeholder engagement professionals from associate director to senior consultant who can accelerate our ‘left shift‘ approach by supporting clients to engage with stakeholders and the public in an effective and more digitally savvy way to ensure our clients and our projects can provide the social value inherent in delivering built environment projects.

2. PRINCIPAL PLANNING OFFICER, EAST DEVON DISTRICT COUNCIL
Location: Honiton/Exmouth/Hybrid
The job: "As principal planning officer, you'll head up one of the three area development management teams comprised of planning officers and an enforcement officer who deal with a broad range of commercial and residential planning applications and investigations.
"From listed building consent to commercial plans, you'll champion high quality development across the district to ensure that applications are dealt with in good time and that excellent customer service is provided. Your varied role will include mentoring and developing your team, managing major planning applications, visiting and inspecting sites and negotiating with agents.
"With a passion for the local area, you will keep the wider strategic priorities of the council in mind as you seek to achieve the council’s objectives and do great things for East Devon. 3. MAJOR PROJECTS PLANNING OFFICER, EAST CAMBRIDGESHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL
Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire
The job: "We have an ambitious vision to create a better, brighter East Cambridgeshire, and we're seeking highly motivated planning professionals to join our strategic planning and development control service.
"As major projects planning officer, you will:
- Lead on the processing and determination of strategic planning applications
- Lead and progress strategic and major planning applications, including carrying out site inspections, consultations, negotiations, advising interested parties, producing draft reports, making recommendations and preparing draft decision notices
- Lead and project manage strategic or major planning proposals through each stage of the planning process from pre-app engagement to compliance, including coordination with internal teams and external agencies, ensuring deadlines are met, and policies, procedures and legislation are followed
- Assist with embedding a 'can do' and 'open for business' culture within the service and train, mentor and develop planning officers
- Work with the planning manager and planning team leaders to implement change which will include making suggestions to service improvements

4. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, PLANNING SERVICES, COTSWOLD DISTRICT COUNCIL
Location: Cirencester, Gloucestershire

5. SENIOR PLANNING POLICY OFFICER, CHORLEY COUNCIL
Location: Chorley, Lancashire/Hybrid
The job: "We're pleased to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate policy planner to join the spatial planning team at Chorley Council. We're part of the Central Lancashire Local Plan partnership, leading the way in sub-regional plan making to create a new single Central Lancashire Local Plan for 2023-2041. It is ambitious and forward thinking policy work you will be a part of.
"As a senior planning policy officer, you'll play an important role in the preparation and delivery of the plan, collaborating closely with colleagues across South Ribble and Preston Councils and wider partners and the local community.
"Additionally, you'll provide advice regarding planning policy to senior officers, the development management team, councillors and members of the public. You'll deputise for the team leader and lead on helping first time buyers access affordable home ownership."
