Architecture and design practice tp bennett has appointed two new directors, Kevin Bell and Daniel Dominguez, and a new consultant, John McIntyre, to its architecture team.

They join from the custodial sector of Capita property and infrastructure architectural team and are expected to support the practice in further strengthening its breadth of sector expertise.

Bell and Dominguez led the justice design sector at professional services company Capita. McIntyre, former director of the Capita team, joins tp bennett as a consultant.

The three new staff members have worked together for over 18 years on a range of projects including prisons, rehabilitation facilities and police stations. It is expected that their experience in justice and custodial will contribute to tp bennett’s portfolio of social architecture.

With the further addition of their BIM experience and the merging of this with tp bennett’s BIM capabilities and philosophy, the partnership will offer a combined approach to design delivery within the custodial sector, tp bennett said.

Jonathan Darke, principal director at tp bennett, said: “Experience in education, healthcare, security and an understanding of what people need from their environments has created an exciting new opportunity for the practice to expand its sector reach and engage new partnerships. The new team will work cross-sector and we look forward to sharing their knowledge with the wider team.”
