Turley appoints new chief executive

Stephen Bell [square]Planning and development consultancy Turley has appointed Stephen Bell as its new chief executive.

Bell steps into the role as current chief executive Dave Trimingham takes on a position as executive chair.

Since joining the company in 2013 as a director, Bell has progressed to the role of senior director, head of planning North. In addition to leading the northern planning team, he has been a member of Turley’s leadership team since 2018.

Bell will take on responsibility for the businesses’ leadership team and company strategy and will be handing over his head of planning North role as part of coordinated succession. He will continue to advise clients on a broad range of projects.

Trimingham will continue to oversee Turley’s governance and lead its board of directors. He will also continue client work and engagement with government and across the industry.
