Turley appoints director for strategic communications

David Blackadder-Weinstein  [square]Planning consultancy Turley has appointed David Blackadder-Weinstein as its new director for strategic communications in its Birmingham office.

Blackadder-Weinstein joins from Midlands Connect where he was head of external affairs. He has played a "leading role" in the promotion of public sector schemes across the Midlands, including High Speed Two and the Midlands Rail Hub.

Nick Jones, head of strategic communications at Turley, said: “David will play a crucial role in our ability to deliver trusted strategic communications advice in one of the fastest growing and most important markets in the UK. With the government’s ‘levelling up’ agenda and the recent confirmation of HS2, it’s an ideal time for us to be bringing the service to the heart of the Midlands.” 

Blackadder-Weinstein added: “I’m looking forward to working with Nick and co-owners from around the business to establish our strategic communications service across the East and West Midlands. Combined with our strong local knowledge, this offering will allow us to further support those looking to invest in the region, helping bring forward a range of ambitious new developments, and ensuring the Midlands makes the most of the government’s levelling up agenda.”
