Catesby Estates, Urban&Civic's land promotion subsidiary will also benefit by advancing new target areas and enhancing market competition.

L&Q, which manages more than 105,000 homes, acquired Gallagher Estates in 2017 to boost regional housing in the Midlands and South East. Now, L&Q aims to focus growth in Greater London and Manchester, where housing needs are greatest.

Nigel Hugill, Urban&Civic’s chief executive, highlighted the necessity of strategic sites to meet housing targets in South East England and sees the acquisition as a significant advancement for both Urban&Civic and Catesby Estates.
