Vail Williams hires two senior planners

Property consultancy Vail Williams has announced two new hires to its planning team.

Kathryn Banks is appointed senior planner from Horsham District Council in West Sussex. She spent six years at Arun District Council and has more than 14 years of experience in local planning authorities within the south east.

She will provide various services including town planning consultancy and commercially focussed planning advice on developments in a wide variety of sectors.

Oliver Galliford joins as senior planner covering the Surrey and Gatwick regions and beyond. He previously worked at Hertsmere Borough Council in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. 

Galliford brings five years of experience and has been involved in the production of a new local plan and development strategy, as well as the development management process, including assessing and determining planning applications, and providing pre-application advice.

His new role will involve drafting planning statements, appeal statements and supporting documents for development proposals. He will also be responsible for promoting sites through the planning system, including the local plan process, and providing planning advice to variety of clients.
