Design Council is a charity and is recognised as a leading authority on the use of strategic design. We use design as a strategic tool to tackle major societal challenges, drive economic growth and innovation, and improve the quality of the built environment. Our approach is people-centred and enables the delivery of positive social, environmental and economic change. We address all aspects of design including product, service, user experience and design in the built environment. We are the UK government’s adviser on design.
We are looking for a Project Assistant, Design Programmes This critical role will support and co-ordinate delivery across our Architecture and Built Environment team and Growth & Innovation services to enable the effective and efficient delivery of its products and services.
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) you will have proven experience of providing project management support to large, complex projects, including project planning, managing financial information and monitoring budgets. You be confident in understanding and interpreting data to ensure accurate and effective reporting and the overall smooth delivery to clients.
Using your excellent client management skills, you will have the opportunity to meet and work with a range of people including our Built Environment and Design Experts, who we engage to deliver our programmes of work. You will have the skills to promote Design Council’s values and principles through their work, and enable others to do the same.
The role may involve occasional travel to support the delivery of workshops and related service delivery activity.
