Princiapl Planner / Senior Planner
Our client is a Local Authority and they are looking for a Principal Planning Officer (or a Senior Planning Officer ready to move to a Principal role) to join their New Neighbourhoods team and carry out a role which will require you to assess large scale major applications and work on strategic sites including EIA development and S106s. On a daily basis you will be expected to produce accurate, detailed written reports within our clients agreed timescales which may mean you are often working to demanding deadlines.
To apply for this role you will need to be a degree qualified Town Planner with demonstrable significant experience relating to a suitable range of development projects, particularly involving Environmental Impact Assessments and negotiating S106 agreements. You will need to be comfortable managing your own caseload and able to work well under pressure when required. You will need to be well organised and confident dealing with external third parties and able to produce well written communications. Your strong knowledge of UK planning legislation will enable you to provide pre-application advice and you will be confident when advising developers on planning proposals; good negotiation skills are essential.
This role is based in East Anglia and our client is looking to pay around £30-£40/hr depending on your experience. Initially this role will be offered as a 6 month contract.
