Everyone has heard of Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, but did you know we have two world class theatres, some of the best landscapes in the county including the Cotswolds AONB, West Midlands Green Belt, numerous Conservation Areas and we have recently been awarded one of the 14 new Garden Villages.

The Planning Applications Team is working hard to maintain high performance levels. We are looking for a permanent Planner to complete the Planners Team. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic and able to get up to speed quickly with a heavy and diverse range of casework, including rural and urban market towns and have a positive attitude to development.

You will be part of the team responsible for a varied caseload focussed on minor applications of all types including development within the Cotswold AONB, and listed buildings applications  The post includes regular attendance at Planning Committee and  appeal work – both written representations and informal hearings. 

You should have a degree or postgraduate qualification in planning or related discipline and either be a member of or working towards membership of the RTPI. Experience of relevant casework is essential.
