A local authority based in Central London are looking for a Planning Officer to join their development team. Due to a range of exciting projects in the area they need to expand. This role is ideally suited for someone with 6-12 months' UK experience in either the private or public sector, and wants to work in a dynamic team on an interesting caseload of projects.
The role, based in the development team but working closely with strategic, policy and enforcement planners, will be delivering on complex projects across the local authority (minor initially before moving onto major schemes). There is a large caseload of work with interesting sites to work on including a number of tourist attractions, and while support will be provided you will be expected to pick it up quickly. Therefore it suits someone with some post qualification experience, however limited. The local authority has a wide range of interesting developments and will help you take your career to the next level. The role is an initial contract opportunity, but this temporary positon is intended to roll on beyond its initial 6 months.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 6 months post qualification experience in the UK. Additional expertise, domestic or international, will be welcomed.
- Degree in town planning, ideally working towards your MRTPI
