Graduate Planning Officer
We have an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Planning Officer to join a busy local authority in South East London. As a Graduate Planner you will undertake Lawful Development Certificates and window, roofs and door applications as well as assist in the technical validation, registering and consultation on straightforward planning applications.
You will also be required to carry out administrative duties such as receiving and logging applications, scanning and uploading onto the relevant database, validating applications to check for content and preparing documents to be used in planning committee meetings; you will also assist in drafting planning notice letters. Other duties will include dealing with inbound calls and providing advice to customers. You may also be required to do this in person when people come into the office.
This role would be suited to a Graduate in Town Planning looking for their first career step and exposure to public sector town planning work or someone with good admin skills and previous experience within town planning and therefore a good understanding of the terminology and the planning application process.
The role will initially be offered for 3 months though it is likely to be an on going rolling contract and the rate will be around £13-£15/hr. Contact us ASAP if you are interested and would like more info.
