With modern public sector offices in the heart of Loughborough, we are looking for a highly experienced town planner to determine major, complex minor applications and oversee householder and other planning applications including their validation.
From rural developments and new uses for key historic buildings up to town centre regeneration, large urban extensions and major food, agri-tech and other commercial developments. You will assist the Team Leader Development Management in the delivery of development management services in the two area teams including the supervision and mentoring of staff and their learning and development.
Who are we looking for?
Ideally a current Principal Planner, however we will consider and support Senior Planners with good experience who are looking for that next step up in their career.
You will be a qualified planner who is a member of the RTPI who has substantial recent experience of development management dealing with more complex planning applications and appeals.
You will need to be able to analyse complex planning issues and to write letters, reports and evidence statements. You will also need to demonstrate an understanding of current law and guidance relating to development management.

This position is for 34 hours per week paid at £32,372 - £34,966 + Essential Car User Allowance
