Planning Manager (Development Management)
Salary: Grade 10 - £47,541 - £55,569 (£57,627 achievable through good performance in line with our appraisal process) - starting salary negotiable and dependent on experience

Sutton’s Development Management team has a leading role in enabling the development and regeneration of a number of large and important sites throughout the borough. The Team has an excellent performance record and has already delivered on a number of significant projects, most notably within Sutton Town Centre and Hackbridge, alongside others in our district and industrial centres. We anticipate significant growth across the Borough and we to need to match our ambition with people with the appropriate level of experience which includes a proven track record of delivering major schemes to a high standard.
With the establishment of Sutton Living Ltd, our Local Authority Housing Company, a school expansion programme, proposals for a Tramlink extension and a recently adopted Local Plan, market interest is high and we offer a varied and stretching caseload. An exciting opportunity has become available where the Development Management Team is looking for an experienced Planner Manager with 5 years or more experience of managing in Development Management and a proven track record of excellence in delivering service improvements and managing major developments.
The post is permanent and you will be in a high profile position, leading on performance management and case management of major/strategic applications.
