Job Level

I am currently working with a Local Authority in the South West who are seeking a Conservation Officer to join the team on a Part-Time basis

About The Role:

The role will include providing consultations for planning and listed building applications; undertaking Conservation Area Appraisals; analysis of development proposals and their potential impact on heritage assets; gathering evidence in accordance with PACE protocols where there are planning breaches; and the compilation and presentation of reports.

This is a part-time contract; they are ideally looking for a Conservation Officer for 15 hours per week

About You:

You will ideally have a sound technical knowledge, but also be familiar with how a conservation service fits within the planning system. Preferably you'll be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative to tight deadlines, but also be able to contribute to the interdisciplinary work of the wider Development Service.

A knowledge of Arcmap and Idox systems would be preferential.

If you would be interested in this role, or would like to discuss any other opportunities in the South- West, please call 02077669000 and ask for Georgia.
