I am currently working with a Local Authority in Hampshire who are seeking a Planning Officer to join their Development Management Team.
About The Role
You will be responsible for a caseload of mainly householder and minor applications. You will be undertaking site inspections and consultations when necessary. You will be preparing reports and making recommendations on planning applications for the consideration of the Team Leader and Development Control Committee and attending the meeting as required.
The initial Contract will be for a period of 3 months. Flexible working arrangements could be negotiated.
Ideally, you will have experience working within a Local Authority Planning team processing Householder and Minor applications. Preferably, you should be able to demonstrate knowledge of planning and related legislation and have an awareness of general issues facing the planning profession.
