The Planning Policy Team is looking to recruit three members of staff to assist with the work of the team in preparing the Local Plan Review, supporting the production of neighbourhood plans and infrastructure planning (including CIL collection).

Salary up to £33,294 per annum

(including premia payment & essential car user allowance)

£3,000 Recruitment payment (dependant on experience and qualifications)

We are looking to recruit a Planning Officer (CIL & Infrastructure) to the Planning Policy Team in the Planning and Environment Directorate.  The post holder will administer, monitor and enforce the Community Infrastructure Levy. The money collected contributes towards the cost of providing infrastructure to help implement the Local Plan. This role will assist with managing infrastructure projects through the Council’s Infrastructure Business Plan. Ideally you will have experience of planning and knowledge of the CIL. The role will involve calculating the CIL and administering, monitoring and enforcing it in strict accordance with the CIL regulations. You will need to be numerate, a good record keeper and able to communicate with developers and agents. You will need to be able to understand and measure plans.
