Principal Planning Officer (Enforcement)
A Premia payment of £5,500 per annum and a one-off Recruitment Payment of £5,500
You will contribute to the supervision of three planning officers in the team and the investigation of breaches of planning control, the enforcement and prosecution where necessary across the environmentally sensitive area of Chichester District including a large part of the South Downs National Park. In addition you will be required to represent the authority at appeals and be its witness in Court proceedings.
It is essential that you have experience of supervising others, development management practices and planning enforcement including appeal procedures, public inquiries and court matters. The role will involve gathering evidence, writing proofs of evidence, prosecution statements and working with officers from other agencies and the South Downs National Park Authority.
