Permanent, full-time (37 hours)

£25,463 to £31,401 per year

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Peak District National Park to join the Mineral Planning team. The main focus of this post is the monitoring and enforcement and other planning issues relating to the 45 quarry sites and waste related matters across the Peak District National Park.  The key responsibilities of the role are to establish a close working relationship with mineral operators to effectively monitor the progress of mineral workings, compliance with conditions and following up on cases of unauthorised mineral working development.

The successful candidate will have experience of mineral and waste planning. This would ideally include considering applications, inspecting sites, negotiating with applicants and statutory consultees, preparing reports and recommendations to Planning Committee and drafting decision notices.

The Authority has recently received a prestigious RTPI Award for Excellence in Planning for Heritage and Culture. We are proud to receive this recognition for our ongoing dedication to our heritage, the built environment and historic landscapes in this vibrant National Park and are looking for an enthusiastic individual to contribute to our work.
