An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Peak District National Park for Senior Monitoring & Enforcement Officers.

Senior Monitoring & Enforcement Officer – (Focus on Listed Buildings)

Permanent, part-time basis (18.5 hours)

£25,463 to 31,401 per year, pro rata

Initially this post will focus on a caseload of reported breaches affecting listed buildings.  There are 109 conservation areas and almost 3000 listed buildings in the National Park set within some of the most beautiful landscapes of the UK. 

Requirements of the posts

The post holders will be responsible for investigating complaints of planning breaches and monitoring sites. Many breaches of planning control can be resolved through negotiation but in some cases you will be required to pursue formal enforcement action, including drafting reports and formal notices and dealing with appeals.

Candidates must have planning experience, be conversant with reading and interpreting technical drawings and have excellent interpersonal skills, sometimes in a conflict situation.
