Planning Officers - Development Management

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Senior Planner (£35,537 - £41,507 job reference DOEF-008120) or Planning Officer (£29,213 - £34,186) depending on skills, qualifications and experience​  (a separate Job Description/Person Specification is available for each post).  

The Isle of Man has a unique and very special environment.  It is the only country-wide Biosphere Reserve, has the world’s longest running continuous parliament and is home to the famous TT Road Races. 

 A pay award for both posts is due.  The preference is to recruit at the Senior Planner level.  If candidates are appointed at the Planning Officer level there is the potential to progress to Senior Planning Officer level upon becoming a Chartered Member of the RTPI

You will contribute to our ambitious Programme for Government, to ensure Planning helps to drive sustainable economic growth, respond to changing population pressures, and keep the Island a special place to live and work

It is envisaged that interviews will take place in Douglas during week commencing 10.12.18.  Expenses would be available for candidates travelling from the UK or the Republic of Ireland.  Interviews by Skype would be considered for candidates in other areas.  The interview will include an assessment, lasting approximately 10 minutes, details of which will be provided as part of any invite to interview.
