Head of Development Management
Osborne Richardson have an excellent opportunity for a Head of Development Management to join our client, a local authority based in Hampshire, for an interim role. This is an important hire for our client as this role will contribute to their sustainable development and long term economic prosperity.
This hire will be responsible for managing the development management, conservation and enforcement aspects of the City Development service. The team are required to deliver a responsive development management service focused on delivering sustainable development and growth within the borough and it is the Head of Development Management's responsibility to ensure that this carried out.
Applicants for this post must be qualified Town Planners with extensive experience of working within a local authority town planning setting. You will have strong leadership experience of development management, customer services and enforcement. Critical to this role will be your ability to communicate effectively and to engage in negotiations that can often be sensitive and complex so you will need to be able to engage productively with third parties to develop good relationships that ensure successful development.
This will initially be offered as a 6 month contract and our client is offering very competitive rates. They are happy to consider offering this position as either a contract based on a day rate or a fixed term contract. This role will fall inside IR35.
