Rights of Way Assistant
As a Rights of Way Assistant you will investigate and resolve reported problems on public rights of way. You will assist with processing Public Path Orders and you will deal with members of the public and partner organisations in respect of rights of way enquiries. On a daily basis you can expect to be carrying out site visits around the district to survey Rights of Way and take appropriate action to ensure paths are available to the public including implementing repair and maintenance schemes.
You will be required to maintain accurate data and records and prepare draft Orders under relevant legislation. It is crucial that these are accurate and detailed as they will be presented to the County Secretary for translation into sealed order documents.
