Take a senior role within OPDC’s Development Management team and help shape the future of the Old Oak and Park Royal Opportunity Area.

We have two fantastic opportunities for talented individuals to join our Development Management team as Senior Planner on a full time permanent or 12-month fixed-term basis.

This is your chance to help shape London’s largest and most exciting regeneration project delivering 25,500 new homes and 65,000 jobs as part of the Mayor of London’s Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC). You will help promote the physical, social, economic and environmental regeneration of the area by supporting sustainable development while securing maximum benefits and capitalising on the new Old Oak Common station, serving both HS2 and the Elizabeth Line, which is due to open in 2026.

As Senior Planner, you will lead on a range of planning applications and pre-application proposals, including major mixed-use and industrial developments. You will demonstrate your ability to work pro-actively on your own caseload, prepare and present reports for decision by the Planning Committee and under delegated authority, and will respond to enquiries from the public, providing advice and guidance on the Corporation’s processes and Development Plan policies.

You will possess a relevant degree and be eligible for RTPI membership. You will be able to demonstrate successful experience in a similar role and will have a good understanding of the working environment of a local planning authority. You will also have an excellent understanding of the local, regional and national planning policy context and legislative framework. You believe strongly in working flexibly as part of a team to get the job done and are confident in your technical expertise and experience to proactively manage your own workload and deliver successful outcomes.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements.

In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan, childcare voucher scheme and a career average pension scheme.
