Assistant Town Planner

Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity within a national engineering & renewables company has arisen as they seek an Assistant Town Planner to join their expanding team. You will be to working across a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, waste & mineral and renewables sectors. Predominantly delivering on brownfield sites you will contribute towards the driving forwards of these developments, contributing towards a rapidly growing business.

Role & Company:

• An Assistant Town Planner you'll work closely with all team members as well with environmental professionals from their sister consultancy.
• Your varied projects will be focused geographically around Yorkshire & the Midlands.
• Projects vary in scale and you'll be taught how to successfully drive them forwards with effective client management.
• Part of your role will be contributing towards local plan consultations documentation and SHLAAs with senior staff.
• The company, an engineering & renewables multidisciplinary have a £50m turnover and deliver building a wide variety of clean energy projects & brownfield developments.
• With 5 offices in the UK they have broad reach and are set to grow throughout 2019.
• The planning team is currently four, looking for 2 more immediate hires.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant town planning degree
• Minimum 1 years of planning experience, preferably with expertise gained in the private sector
• SHLAA and / or local plan consultation doc experience a strong bonus though not expected.
• To be highly motivated and ready to learn while working closely with senior staff.
