Are you a University Student currently studying for a Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Accredited degree and looking for a gap year opportunity?
Do you want to have first-hand experience in an award winning Local Planning Authority? Are you keen to expand your knowledge of the planning process and procedures?
The role – Temporary 12 month Student Planner (37 hours per week)
Location – 4 Ednam Road, Dudley DY1 1HL
If so, we have a vacancy for a Student Planner within an award winning and highly commended Local Planning Authority that could be the right experience for you. We are looking for an individual who is looking to become a qualified Town Planner to gain experience of varied planning applications, enforcement cases, appeals and enquiries. You will also gain experience in Planning Policy casework. You would be working within a high performing planning service which consistently ranks within the top 10% nationally for application performance.
Due to the nature of this post, this placement is only open to students on an Planning related degree who require an industrial placement. Agreement about the suitability of this placement should be made with the university placement offices prior to application. Candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.
The placement is expected to start in July/August 2019
