A message from the Chief Executive

Thank you for considering job opportunities at Fareham Borough Council.

Fareham is best known for being a traditional town with a modern edge, and as the Council's Chief Executive, I try to reflect that in the way that our services are delivered to our customers.

We are dedicated to constantly improving the Borough, and providing high quality services at the lowest possible cost.

We listen to our customers, learn from our mistakes, and seek out new initiatives to drive Fareham forward. We have a successful track record of responding to challenges and transforming our processes to deliver the best possible service to our customers.

It is pleasing to know that we have created a culture which is open, inclusive and caring and we take pride in receiving feedback from others who say that we are a 'friendly and professional organisation.'

Our culture of encouragement and support has enabled employees to grow and develop, putting the needs of the customer at the heart of the organisation.

We will continue to work in partnership with our elected members, focus on our customers, make faster decisions, cut out bureaucracy where we can, and develop and encourage a "can do" attitude.

I already have a strong team of employees working with me, with the right skills to make these things happen; and if you are planning to join us, I look forward to working with you to make Fareham an even better place to work, live and visit.

Peter Grimwood
Chief Executive
