Principal Conservation and Design Officer
Fantastic opportunities for historic environment work at Chichester District Council!
The historic environment in Chichester District is one of the most extensive and varied in Britain. From archaeology such as Boxgrove Man and Roman remains, to rural timber framed buildings and Georgian Chichester, the scope of work for an historic environment professional is challenging and rewarding. The District boasts over 3,000 listed buildings and 85 conservation areas that are treasured by residents, visitors and the elected members of the Council. There are ongoing pressures for development and your expertise is needed to ensure that the historic environment is protected whilst continuing to evolve.
