Employment & Skills Project Manager
Our client is a Local Authority in North East London and they are seeking an experienced Employment & Skills Project Manager to join them for a contract role within their Regeneration & Growth service. You will play a key role in establishing strategic relationships with local businesses and organisations in an effort to develop Labour employment, training and procurement opportunities for the benefit of residents and businesses across the Borough. A key requirement of the role will be providing updates on employment and skills opportunities generated through S106, Housing Associations and large construction procurement activity. You will also support the development of a Construction Skills campaign in partnership with GLA.
To carry out this role you will need to have worked in a similar employment / economic development role within a local authority setting. You will need knowledge of local authority procurement systems and knowledge of the SME business sector. Good communication skills are absolutely essential and you will need to be confident in managing and prioritising activities to produce satisfactory outcomes to an agreed deadline.
This role will initially be offered as a 3 month contract though it could be extended and they are offering a pay rate of around £250-£280/day (umbrella). A full JD is available on request.
