Persimmon Homes Anglia are seeking a RTPI Planner or Senior RTPI Planner to join the busy Land team in Norwich covering the Norfolk and Waveney region.

Our team of Planners undertake the majority of the project work in-house from identifying new development opportunities and Local Plan promotion through to securing planning permission for residential led developments of varying scales and complexity.

Responsibilities could include writing Local Plan representations and supporting planning application documents such as Design and Access Statements, project managing consultants and design teams, negotiating with landowners, Local Authorities and statutory consultees, organising consultation events and presenting to Parish Councils, planning committee and at Local Plan examinations and appeals.

What are we looking for?

The role would suit a candidate with sufficient town planning experience to independently oversee the day to day management of planning projects and advise on strategy. Experience in identifying new development sites and/or promoting sites for Local Plan allocation is desirable to take a strong role in progressing Persimmon Anglia’s land search strategy. So candidates from planning policy or residential developer or promoter backgrounds are encouraged to apply but candidates from all Planning backgrounds and levels of experience will be considered.

The role would suit self-motivated and ambitious individuals who are keen to build their career within a fast-paced commercial environment. The role will require a high standard of written communication, inter-personal skills and commercial awareness with the ability to adapt to change and to work accurately and efficiently under time pressure.

MRTPI or working towards this qualification is highly desirable. A driver’s licence is essential.
