Bath and North East Somerset is a large and diverse area containing not only the internationally renowned City of Bath which is a World Heritage Site, but also an extensive area of Green Belt, two AONBs, numerous Conservation Areas and an abundance of listed buildings and other heritage assets.  All this makes the District a hugely attractive place to work, live and visit.

We are looking to appoint 4 qualified, ambitious and enthusiastic Officers within Planning Services. The Posts are varied and the job description details are as set out on the Council’s website.

The posts would suit people who are confident in dealing with all stakeholders associated with planning and Listed Building applications and plan-making, including presenting applications to Committee and policy projects to Councillors.  

They are:

2x development management planning officers (1 permanent, 1 fixed term minimum 12 months,  full time, 37 hrs)

1x policy planning officer (permanent, part time, 18.5hrs)

1x conservation officer (fixed term maternity cover commencing  3 June-for 12 months, full time, 37hrs)
